Thank you for your attendance at yesterday's
send-off. Your presence added immeasurably to the occasion.
Those of you who were not there were very much missed but
there will be other occasions when we return from Tibet.
During the six weeks or so between mid
April and late May that we are at Xixabangma advanced base
camp, I will be sending you occasional emails, perhaps once
a week, to keep you posted on how the team is doing in their
acclimatization, and the all-important summit bid. We have
no idea at the moment when this might be as it depends on
the weather.
As with our trip to Nepal, I will be sending
the emails to my husband Len who will redirect them to all
of you. This saves on expensive satellite time, hope you understand.
The emails will be sent to this current
list. If you should like to add any emails of others in your
company who should be kept informed (or if you would like
to be removed from the list), do let me know by Friday. During
our absence, you can also send the team email at my email
