Thank you for being a part of the
video conference. And an especially big thank you to Singapore
Pools for hosting and sponsoring it. Most of you may not know
that DSO Laboratories and O'Connors spent a tremendous amount
of time and effort to get the system working. We had many
rehearsals before the transmission was perfected and I can
tell you being able to "see" Singapore from here
was particularly thrilling.
We are now preparing to leave ABC, arranging for the yaks
to come here, packing up and bidding farewell to this incredibly
beautiful yet harsh valley with a stunning view of Xixabangma.
The communications equipment will be shut down on May 27th
afternoon, after one last email out from here. Of course we
hope to receive email up to that day and you can still send
email to me which I will retrieve when we arrive in Kathmandu
on May 29th from a cybercafe. Individual members will also
be retrieving their personal email from their won email accounts.
