about giving. In keeping with our mission, Towards Community
Purpose and Benefit, Pools channels its surpluses back
to the community through a Community Funding Programme that
funds worthy causes and projects in the fields of sports,
charity and community service.
As Summit Sponsor, Singapore Pools hopes that our $200,000
donation towards the Singapore Xixabangma Expedition will
fuel the Team's passion in mountaineering and spirit of adventure,
spurring them to scale new heights.
Singapore Pools is a fervent supporter of the sports fraternity.
It builds sports facilities, funds the programmes of the National
Sports Association and is now braced to support the new sports
plan with a donation of $375 million over 5 years.
Our support towards mountaineering dates back to the early
1990s. Donations were made to the Singapore Mountaineering
Federation and the Mountaineering Society of Singapore towards
their climbing facilities and various activities. We also
sponsored the 1st Singapore Mount Everest Expedition 1998,
the 1st Singapore Antarctica Expedition 2000 and the Singapore-Latin
America Everest Expedition 2001.
