Chow E-Fung
Male, aged 21

Q: What he hoped to achieve from participating in the expedition:

A: I feel that this is a chance-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it can really help me set new heights and standards. I have always dreamt of making it to one of the 8000m peaks in my lifetime, therefore being part of this team brings me closer to my ultimate dream in my adventure career. Having the chance to be team mates with such prestigious mountaineers like Dr Goh, Dr Mok, Mr Siew, who have all been part of the first Singaporean Everest team is just like a big fantasy come true - a great honour just being able to stand alongside them as team mates. I guess every trekker's dream is to attempt an alpine style climb up a well-known mountain. It is really the right small step into the direction of bigger goals.
